Land Acknowledgment

Wahkohtowin Healing Centre stands on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabe, Dakota, and Métis Nations, in Treaty 1 Territory. These lands have been home to our ancestors since time immemorial, carrying the teachings, stories, and ways of life that continue to guide us today.
As an Indigenous-led organization, we do not simply acknowledge the land—we belong to it. We recognize the deep, ongoing relationship between our people and these lands, waters, and all our relations. Our work is rooted in the strength of our ancestors and the responsibility we carry to uphold their teachings, protect the land, and nurture future generations.
May our work at Wahkohtowin Healing Centre continue to reflect the resilience, strength, and sovereignty of Indigenous Peoples.
